POVERTY

We have chosen "Poverty" as it is one of the most common problems we have in today in society. Being in poverty means experiencing hunger, debts and unaffordable or bad housing.

We then had to answer some questions about our topic:
Who is affected? Children, Youth/ Everyone
What are the issues? Hunger, homelessness, addiction, corruption, overpopulation, epidemic diseases, health issues, fewer job skills.
When and how did it start? September 18, 1937
Where is it happening?New Zealand and all over the world.
Why is this happening? Because of lack of education, overpopulation, epidemic diseases, and because of environmental problems.

Then we had to say what we plan to do to solve this issue:

We want to make some food for them and distribute maybe to people who need food.

Persuasive Essay

Introduction
Catch em (optional): More jobs and opportunities for teenagers can help our future

Thesis: The part-time job for teenager changed their life for a better opportunity.

List of points: This is due to saving money, helping our parents, and learn about time management.

SEXY Paragraph 1:
Saving money will help you in your future.

For example, at this age, you can save a lot of money for your financial future.

According to https://www.elitedaily.com/money/saving-in-your-teens-good/1682033 you may be learned and think about the importance of saving money.

However, most of the teenager now is working for a part-time job to earned money and to have better future.

SEXY Paragraph 2:
As well as working at the young age we can help our parents.

For example, my sister is working for a part-time job she helps our parents for the payment of the home rent.

According to http://work.chron.com we can help our parents by giving them of what we have even ourselves will help us by the experience and skills of what we learn about that work.

However, we as a teenager in this country which is New Zealand, we can work also for a part-time job when we in the right age, and help our parents by doing and giving them of what they want and what makes them happy.

SEXY Paragraph 3:
Learning about time management will make us more responsible for everything.

For example, my sister she is working and she can manage her time in study, time for family, and time for her work.

According to http://www.time-management-success.com, it’s better to manage your time for everything because you need that for your daily lives.

Especially for those students who are in senior high, they need to manage their time especially for their studies, time management is struggling at this young age.

Rebuttal (optional) Paragraph 4:
Lack of sleep may affect your health.

For example, more of the teenager now don’t have enough sleep because of social media, studies, and working for a part-time job.

According to https://www.healthline.com/health/sleep-deprivation/effects-on-body you will know what are the effects of having enough sleep and it may affect everything especially our study, family time, and work for a part-time job.

“Tragically”, lack of sleep may affect everything especially our health and it may cause depression and that’s the reason why some of the students now choose to work than to study.

Conclusion
Re-state thesis: Part-time job for teenager changed their life for a better opportunity.

Re-state list of points: This is through saving money, helping our parents, and learn about time management.

Punchline: ” It is called job and it means to suffer and success”.

Creative Writing #1

My First Draft
Title:

Fear is Temporary Regret is Forever
Image result for brave people crossing the river

Have you ever experience you were like an innocent kid.I have,Well kind of.I picked a piece of stick and write something on the ground. It was when I was in a Camp in Boyle River and I was waiting for my team to have an activity where we are together to go to a task. The light and the heat of the sun that awakened us and the weather that came to our body was too cold for us to come out.We are only two Filipino in our team and while we are waiting for some of our  colleagues were just looking at the view and  taking a picture toward the mountains and then I said to my friend that  I smell something bad around the plants surrounding us.Then when we are complete we started to walked and exploring different types of plant and while we are walking we also eat a small pack of raisin and red apple ready to be eaten and  we heard a loud sound of different birds and tide of water coming from the river.

Then we saw it.The two strong wire across the Boyle River  .Then I was like shocked because the risk and challenges is asked myself if I can do it ? and we all know that   it is really scary to go across that wire and then before I go to cross that river I have touched it before I go;The  very fresh freezing fantastic river ,and then we’re  expecting that we are going to cross the river by walking on it and by holding up in the wire. Then after that our leader said that we need to do it again and I was like; No way! Because it was really hurt in our hands, but we need to do it because it's a task and we need to do it also to go back to our lodge.

But I feel like a bomb streaked  lightning across the sky separating it into strips of black velvet.I had my eyes on the mountain and I only just feel the fresh air on my face and the wind blowing through my hair. That day made my feelings perfect and so comfortable.

Our leader yelled at me and said Go!Go!Go! You can do it.Then when I started to walk in that wire then that’s the time I feel very nervous then I said to myself  that I can do  just relax, focus and enjoy. When I am in the middle of the wire I feel very very nervous and just keep smiling even though I was like swinging and nearly to fall. Then when I  was at the end of the wire I said Yes!Yes! I did it.But I’m not still comfortable because I need to do it again but know I’m not afraid anymore because I know that I can do it again.

I started to walk along the wire and while I’m crossing the river the wire also slowly swinging.I said to myself that I will never do this again. When my turn is over Thank God I did it  then I said to my friend you can do it too.I said Yes!Yes!Yes! while removing the safety gear,I’m so happy to do it and then I change my mind that someday I will do this again and travel the world and explore myself.Maybe we  need to try it first before judging one thing.”No one in this world is cowardly maybe we are just afraid of something we have not been trying”.

I knew that I can survive whatever problem it is.I did what most brave people have done.Instead giving up on it why don’t you let it happened and face that problem, after that you felt good being a brave child of God.

Examples:

In Macbeth by William Shakespeare, dialogue was used to show the state of  Macbeth’s mind.

For instance, the line “Is this a dagger I see before me?” demonstrates Macbeth questioning  his reality.
This technique reveals Macbeth’s character  by showing the audience that he has started to hallucinate and that his mind is playing tricks on him, or, alternatively, that the witches are having more influence on him than he realises.
Shakespeare did this to show the consequences of Macbeth’s guilty actions. As the play progresses, Macbeth’s mind becauses more troubled and Shakespeare uses Macbeth’s  dialogue, actions, and the conversations of other to reflect this.
This dialogue  can be juxtaposed with the feast when he has a visitation of Banquo’s ghost and says “Then comes my fit again: I had else been perfect”. This highlights, to some degree, the fact that Macbeth is conscious of his hallucinations. However, a characteristic of insanity is the insane person not knowing that are in fact insane and by the end of the play, Macbeth no longer knows what is real and what is imagined around him. This highlights the fact that guilt through murder and ‘unfettered’ ambition can affect the state of people's’ minds.

I think Two-Bit is the best character in the book, because he always has a good humor and is always there for everyone in the gang. When someone in the gang is in problems or feels bad, he is always there with her smile and trying to make everyone feel better.
I think the best characteristic of Two-Bit is the good humor. I would like to be like him sometimes and have a smile on my face when everything seems to go wrong.

Introduction:
(Optional)

SEXXXY 1
The relationship of two brothers which is Ponyboy and Darry.
For instance did Darry push so hard and slapped Ponyboy? For what reason and why?
This show that Darry slapped Ponyboy because he only really cares about his brother, and they not really close with each other.
The purpose of this is Ponyboy  is to become more responsible and more respectful to his brother specially to his brother which is Darry who are older than him, and he did it because Darry don’t want Ponyboy to become a careless brother ,Darry only really cares and he does not  want his brother to trouble.
Within The Outsiders this reminds how Darry really cares about Ponyboy because they are fighting because of the one main reason .Darry pushes so hard Ponyboy because he loves him ,but they are not close together which is Ponyboy more close with Sodapop because Darry feels more understanding with him.
SEXXXY 2
The relationship between Darry,Ponyboy and also to about there family.
For instance did there family really close with each other? If it’s not ?why?
This shows that there parents is die in an car accident and because of that they didn’t feel to have a mother and a father.
Darry is the oldest one who is representative figure, Ponyboy is the younger one and Sodapop is the one who is very loving brother with this two.
The purpose of this is one of them  are really to show that he is very responsible to show that one of each other is very important and because of that they should show love, respect, care, loyalty and being honest with each other and they should stand by it self.
Within The Outsiders this reminds me that because of the love ,care.honesty, loyalty, and respect they will not joined the bad mess. Because when they are true with each other there is a unity in their group or gang.
SEXXXY 3
The relationship between Johnny and Dallas.
For instance did Johnny really love Dallas ?
This shows that Johnny's relationship with Dallas is mutually beneficial.  To Johnny, Dallas is someone to emulate, someone to strive to be.  Johnny's home life is terrible, and while he has good friends in the gang, they treat him like a puppy or a little brother.
The purpose of this is he gets little respect.  He sees Dallas and his pull on society and those around him, and Johnny realizes that if he is more like Dallas, if he is hard and angry and scary, then he will get the respect he thinks he deserves.  Johnny looks up to Dallas as the paragon of respect, the most powerful person he knows.
Within The Outsiders this reminds me that Dallas sees in Johnny someone he can save.  Dallas absolutely doesn't want to see Johnny end up like him and will do anything in his power to make sure Johnny has a better chance at life than Dallas did.
SEXXXY 4
The relationship between Sodapop and Darry.
For instance did Darry and Sodapop really close with each other?
This shows that Darry and Sodapop Curtis are Ponyboy's older brothers who, along with being greasers, are adjusting to life on their own. Darry has taken over the responsibility of guardianship, forfeiting college and working to enable the three of them to stay together.
The purpose of this Soda, never very good in school, has dropped out at age 16 and is working to help support the family.
Both boys focus on the future of Ponyboy; ensuring his success is the driving force of the family.
Perspective is a very important issue that runs throughout this novel. Being an outsider is a matter of perspective. The brothers' relationships are viewed differently according to each other's perspective.
Within The Outsiders this reminds me that  Pony resents Darry's constant nagging and discipline. But Darry is imposing these rules out of concern for Pony's well-being. Pony loves Soda and is thankful for him: "Soda always takes up for me." But he is unaware that the strain of being the one in the middle is almost too much for Soda
